Major Period

Major period starts from the birth planet and lasts for the life span of the planet. The planetary periods are as stated in the graph on the right.

The planets rotate in the sequential order starting from birth planet as stated in the graph. If you are born on Monday, your major period will start from Moon, which lasts for 15 years. After you reach 15, you will be in Mars period for 8 years. Then after 23 years of age, you will be in Mercury period for 17 years. The period changes at birthday.

Minor Period

Minor period changes every year on the birthday. It also starts from birth planet and rotates in the same sequential order as the major period: Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu, and Venus.

If you are born on Monday, the minor period from your birth to first birthday is Moon, from your first birthday to second birthday is Mars, and so on.

Hostile Combination

Due to the planetary relations among planets, there are periods in life when opposing planets for the native come together. Major life trials, such as career and health, occur during those time.
